Artist Statement
Jewelry design has been a lifelong passion for me. I remember in junior high school when my art teacher introduced me to silver jewelry production. Four decades later, I still wear the daisy brooch that I made in his class. Throughout the years, I have taken courses at the Delaware Art Museum, The Corcoran College of Art and Virginia Commonwealth University. There is such a feeling of bliss to design a piece and see it come to life. Once I discovered metal clay, the world of jewelry design seemed to open up to so many more opportunities. Jewelry making for me is woven into my being. It is something that I think about constantly; seeing opportunities for design everywhere.
